Oyster & Fin Is Bringing Fresh Seafood to Clifton Park

Seafood fans have something new to look forward to in Clifton Park. Oyster & Fin, a fresh seafood market, is preparing to open at 841 Route 146, Suite 3, next to CVS.

The new market comes from owners with roots on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and an appreciation for fresh coastal seafood. After moving to New York and seeing an opportunity for more fresh seafood options, they decided to bring that experience to Clifton Park.

Oyster & Fin plans to offer a variety of seafood for local shoppers, including fresh fish, oysters, shellfish, caviar, poke, and more. The business also has plans for catering services, giving seafood lovers another option for future gatherings and special occasions.

The market will fill a niche in the Clifton Park food scene, which has been without a dedicated fresh seafood shop in the town center area since Moby Rick’s Seafood closed. Oyster & Fin is currently projected to open in October 2026.

Vischer Ferry Photo Contest Returns With a Winter Theme

The Town of Clifton Park is calling on photographers to capture Vischer Ferry Nature and Historic Preserve in its winter form. The annual photo contest opens for entries this fall, with three divisions and a new seasonal theme.

Submission Window: September 1 through December 28, 2026. Photographers can enter the Junior, Amateur, or Professional division by emailing their winter shots of the preserve to photocontest@cliftonpark.org.

The 600-acre preserve runs along the Mohawk River within the Vischer Ferry Historic District. Its trails pass wetlands, the remains of the old Erie Canal, and open fields that take on a different character once the snow settles in.

Voting happens in two rounds. The first round runs January 4 through 11, 2027, on the contest's Facebook page, and the final round takes place during Winterfest.
