Chicken Salad Chick Opens in Clifton Park: New York's First Location
A Southern restaurant chain has made its New York debut in Clifton Park. Chicken Salad Chick opened its first New York location on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, bringing its made-from-scratch chicken salads, sandwiches, soups, and sides to the Capital Region.
The restaurant is located at The Shops at Village Plaza at 5 Southside Drive, giving local diners a chance to try the growing chain without leaving the area.
Chicken Salad Chick Is Now Open in Clifton Park
Chicken Salad Chick is known for its variety of chicken salad flavors, along with fresh sides, soups, sandwiches, and desserts. The Clifton Park location offers dine-in, takeout, third-party delivery, and catering options.
The restaurant is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., giving customers plenty of opportunities to stop in for lunch, dinner, or a quick meal on the go.
New York's First Chicken Salad Chick
The Clifton Park restaurant marks Chicken Salad Chick's first location in New York and expands the brand's presence to 27 states.
“Entering New York is a major milestone for Chicken Salad Chick. It represents tremendous growth potential for our brand, and we're already seeing strong demand,” said Scott Deviney, CEO and President of Chicken Salad Chick, according to Food & Beverage Magazine.
The opening is part of a larger 25-unit franchise agreement that will bring additional Chicken Salad Chick restaurants to markets including Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and the Upper Hudson Valley. According to the company, the agreement is the largest franchise development deal in Chicken Salad Chick's history.

Chicken salad is the main attraction, with more than a dozen made-from-scratch varieties available. Customers can enjoy the chicken salad on its own, as part of a sandwich, or alongside a variety of sides.
The menu also includes gourmet soups, signature sandwiches, desserts, and other Southern-inspired favorites.
A Grand Opening Celebration
The grand opening was scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22, with the first 100 guests in line eligible to receive free chicken salad for a year. Additional giveaways were planned throughout opening week, including a tumbler, cooler, tote bag, and free food offers for qualifying guests.
