Healthy Living Market Expands with New Halfmoon Location
Capital Region shoppers have a new destination for clean, natural, and organic groceries. Vermont-based Healthy Living Market has officially opened its doors at 1 Old Route 146 in Halfmoon, NY, anchoring the newly developed 146 Marketplace plaza off Route 146 near Lowe’s.
The Halfmoon store is the company’s second location in the Capital Region, joining its existing store at Wilton Mall. Healthy Living also operates locations in South Burlington and Williston, Vermont.
Healthy Living Market Expands in the Capital Region
Healthy Living had been searching for another Capital Region location for more than a year before settling on Halfmoon, according to CEO and co-owner Eli Lesser-Goldsmith.
“We knew we wanted more locations in the Capital Region. We looked for over a year,” Lesser-Goldsmith told Daily Voice. “One of our mantras is: Great communities need great grocery shopping.”
The company was founded in Burlington, Vermont, in 1986 by Lesser-Goldsmith’s mother, Katy Lesser. As demand for natural and organic groceries has grown, the company’s leadership decided it was time to expand with another store.
“We are in a period of growth with this company where people across the country are just eating better, focusing on their health,” Lesser-Goldsmith told Daily Voice. “Brands like ours are booming with demand. People want more healthy foods, more natural foods, more organic foods.”
Sourcing Clean Ingredients and Everyday Convenience
Healthy Living Market built its foundation on sustainable, health-conscious retail long before organic products became mainstream. As consumer interest in personal wellness and transparent sourcing has accelerated nationwide, company leadership recognized an ideal opportunity to extend their footprint into Saratoga County.
Inside the Halfmoon store, shoppers will find a carefully curated inventory focused strictly on local, Eco-Grown, and non-GMO items.
Every product on the shelves is vetted to ensure it contains no artificial sweeteners, synthetic colors, or chemical preservatives. Beyond fresh produce and pantry staples sourced directly from regional farmers and producers, the new location features a full-service café offering freshly prepared salads, artisanal sandwiches, pastries, and ready-to-eat dishes designed for convenient dining.
