About this event
The Pioneer Troy Turkey Trot is the nation’s 12th and world’s 64th oldest road race. Since its humble beginnings in 1916 when six runners entered, the Trot has grown to become one of America’s most prestigious road races.
The event gets underway with the Capital Region’s only Thanksgiving Day 10K at 8 a.m. It is followed by the Grade School Mile at 9:30 a.m., the Trot Mile Walk at 9:35 a.m., and our popular 5K run at 10 a.m. Join us in this proud annual tradition!
The Troy Turkey Trot will once again be supporting several local charities including the Regional Food Bank, Joseph's House and Shelter and others. The need for these services is up in some cases over 100% compared to last year so your contributions will help us help them meet the demand by donating.
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN
We look forward to seeing you Thanksgiving Day!
