Get ready for a splashing good time at the 20th Annual Wild Card-board Boat Races! This beloved Hudson Valley tradition celebrates two decades of creativity, teamwork, and community with a day full of fun on the Hudson River.

Participants of all ages are invited to design, build, and race boats made entirely from cardboard or 100% recycled materials, competing for awards that recognize speed, creativity, teamwork, and unforgettable wipeouts. In honor of the event's 20th anniversary, this year's "Wild Card" theme invites racers to draw inspiration from any favorite theme from past years, making it the ultimate celebration of the event's history.

Whether you're racing across the water or cheering from the shoreline, there's something for everyone. Enjoy delicious food from local vendors, explore the lively festival atmosphere, and watch as imaginative boats put their engineering—and buoyancy—to the test. From first-time builders to seasoned competitors, families, friends, businesses, and community groups are all welcome to join the fun.

Don't forget to bring your sunscreen and a towel, as you just might get wet if you decide to challenge friends, family, co-workers - you name it! -  to compete for one the coveted boat race awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards for speed, the Titanic Award, Most Enthusiastic Crew, Judges Bribe Award (“Bribes” are considered donations to Hudson Crossing Park), People’s Choice, Overall Best in Show, and Most Sailors Left Afloat!
