About this event
Runners, joggers, and walkers will fill downtown Saratoga Springs on Thanksgiving morning for the 25th running of this Turkey Trot. The Christopher Dailey Foundation started the race in 2002 to honor the memory of Christopher Dailey. Since then it has become a Thanksgiving tradition for families across Saratoga County and the Capital Region.
The 5K is a non-competitive run/walk open to all ages and abilities, and turkey hats and other festive gear are welcome. The course is USATF certified (NY22015JG).
Race Start, Course, and Finish
- When: Thursday, November 26, 2026, at 8:30 AM
- Start: In front of Saratoga Springs City Hall, at the corner of Broadway and Lake Avenue
- Finish: Near the corner of Route 50 and North Broadway

Registration and Cost
Entry is a donation to the foundation. The rate goes up after November 16:
- $30 through November 16
- $35 starting November 17
Friends and family can also register together as a team. There are no team awards, so teams are just for fun.

Where the Proceeds Go
All Turkey Trot proceeds go to the Christopher Dailey Foundation. The foundation funds Saratoga County organizations and programs in these areas:
- Recreational opportunities for youth
- Support for children with physical and intellectual disabilities
- Food insecurity
- Mental health initiatives
- Active, healthy lifestyles for kids and families
