Pride Center Presents: A Celebration of Life for Anne Nelson

About this event

As you all likely are now aware, we have lost a very dear friend and colleague at the end of August with the sudden passing of Anne Nelson. Given our tremendous and collective loss, we strongly feel that a traditional Gala will not meet the needs of our organization, the people who work so hard to make all of our events a success, or our community this year.  We realized that what we truly wanted (and needed) was to celebrate and honor Anne and everything she stood for - community, friends, and fun. In that spirit, we have decided instead to host a Celebration of Life honoring Anne with a community-building, grassroots celebration that will support and uplift the programs, people and organizations she so proudly served and loved so deeply.

Please join us on Friday October 9th at 7 pm at the Franklin Terrace Ballroom for an evening filled with fun, joy, and celebration in Anne’s honor. There will be music, food, a drag show (of course) and, we hope, much laughter and sharing of cherished memories and friendships, new and old.

We have also worked to make the pricing as accessible as possible for this event with a sliding scale ticket price, and the net proceeds will benefit the organizations and programs that Anne was such a huge part of.
