Come to the grassy area at the Henry Street side of the library and line up to meet Saratoga's Mounted Patrol horses and their handlers. You may ask questions and pet the horses. For all ages.

About this event

No registration required.

What to Expect:

  • You will be outdoors, so dress for the weather
  • If it is raining, the rain date will be July 8, 2:00-3:00 PM
  • You will line up with your adult for your chance to visit and pet the horse.
  • You can asked the mounted officer about his horse and his job
  • Horse will be big, but he is trained to be calm and gentle

Sensory:

  • Horse may sway from side to side or shake his head
  • Horse hair will feel soft and smooth

Supports:

  • You may have to wait for your turn
  • If you want to take a long turn, you can return again to the end of the line
