About this event
Isola by Allegra Goodman. Marguerite de la Rocque’s guardian abandons her, along with her loyal servant and a man she has grown to love, on a deserted island off the coast of New France in 1531. She alone survives against the brutal conditions and returns to France to tell her story and finally secure her future, free from her guardian's control. Inspired by the real life of a 16th-century heroine.
