On September 19 (rain date September 20), CREATE Community Studios will be hosting our CREATE Change: Cornhole Edition fundraising event at Artisanal Brew Works in Saratoga Springs. This cornhole tournament is designed to bring the community together for a day of friendly competition, all while raising vital funds for our LGBTQ+ community and therapeutic expressive arts programming for our youth, including our beloved Rainbow Garden Club.
Rainbow Garden Club is a free drop-in program for youth ages 11-19 who identify as LBGTQ+ and their allies. Using gardening, nature, and art activities, the program offers a healthy social space, and a creative, inclusive, and visible support network for LGBTQ+ youth.
Rainbow Garden Club demonstrated significant impact in 2025 by supporting 80 local youth. We are strategically scaling our program this year to accommodate a projected enrollment of 110 students, ensuring more young people benefit from our programming.
Last year, we launched our first CREATE Change: Corhole Edition fundraiser. Artisanal Brew Works was a fantastic setting for this fundraiser, offering local music, great food and drinks along with a fun, family-friendly setting for a great cause. We had 11 Cornhole teams of two players and double the amount of attendees of all ages to cheer the teams on.
