"Next Book" Book Club

About this event

From early chapter books to full novels, we'll have many titles to browse for your next book. Children and their families can get suggestions from a librarian or fellow attendees. There will be juice boxes and fruit snacks! Registration is not required, but space is limited based on room capacity.

What to Expect:

• Children and caregivers will browse books laid out on tables or carts.
• Blank suggestion cards will be available for kids to write and leave each other recommendations.
• Juice boxes and fruit snacks will be provided.
• Library books in the room will be suggestions pulled by children's librarians; a librarian will be present for reader's advisory.

Sensory Information:

• Bright overhead lights.
• Ambient music will be playing over a speaker at low volume.
• Room may become busy depending on number of attendees.

Supports:

• A limited number of noise-cancelling headphones and fidgets are available.
• Participants can leave and re-enter the room as needed.
