About this event
Someone who had come of age in the mid-20th Century, Rich evolved from traditional academic, wife and mother, to lesbian and poet engaged in the vanguard of feminist discourse and literature. Beyond her powerful poetry, her research and essays helped bring women writers such as Emily Dickinson out of obscurity, placing them securely in the canon of English Literature.
