About this event

Operation equips participants with practical tools to recognize the signs of suicidal thinking and take meaningful action. The acronym stands for: Seek Help – Learn to recognize the warning signs and ask the critical question, “Are you thinking of killing yourself? ” Ask – Practice asking the question in a natural, open way. Validate – Listen and acknowledge the Veteran’s experience without judgment. Encourage – Support the Veteran in seeking professional help and connecting with resources. This program emphasizes the power of listening, the importance of direct and compassionate conversation, and the resources available for caregivers, loved ones, and those who may be at risk. Whether you work with Veterans, care about someone who served, or simply want to be better prepared to help in a moment of need, this training provides knowledge that can make a life-saving difference. Space is limited. Please register online.
