About this event
The workshop will meet 4 - 5:30 on four consecutive Thursday afternoons: April 16, April 23, April 30, and May 7. Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions. Most of each session will be devoted to group discussions of each other’s work and offering constructive criticism as to how each poem might be improved. Sessions will promote an atmosphere in which writers feel comfortable sharing their insights. The goal of each session will be to make each poem as good as possible, and along the way, to encourage the development of a community dedicated to this common goal. No previous experience writing poetry is required, and Rogoff will provide writing prompts for the group. Registration is required and limited to fifteen participants. Please register online. Everyone should bring twelve copies of an original poem to the first meeting.
