Handcraft Meet Up

About this event

This online gathering is a perfect opportunity to knit, crochet, embroider, or do other handwork while chatting with others who are working on their own projects. There will be no instruction, but we welcome the opportunity to show and share our creations and help each other. New members welcome. Please register online.

What to Expect:  

• Informal conversation will be had over Zoom while participants work on their projects. 
• Participants are invited to share their projects, with the librarian spotlighting their work during the program. 

Sensory Information: 

• The librarian will start the Zoom program and will let all participants into the Zoom program when their usernames appear in the Zoom waiting room. 
• Zoom offers functions to organize each particpants' screen in a way that is easy to see. The librarian can help you with this. 
• The sound may be uneven or choppy depending on the strength of anyone's computer connection. 
• The librarian will close the Zoom meeting for everyone when the hour is up. 

Sensory Supports: 

• Fidget tools or quiet sensory items are welcome.
• You are welcome to take breaks or step out if you need to. 
• Staff are happy to help with Zoom issues and preferences when possible.
