About this event

In May, we'll read the early chapter book, Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot vs. the Voodoo Vultures from Venus by Dav Pilkey. Then, we'll meet a real, live turkey vulture with educator Trish Marki. Every child receives a bookmark and a book to take home and keep reading. Please register online.

What to Expect

• Participants are not expected to read the book beforehand.
• The librarian leads the group for the first 30 minutes in sampling the book, reading the first several chapters and looking over features like covers and pictures.
• Participants may choose to take turns reading or listen to others read.
• Participants meet a turkey vulture for the last 30 minutes of the program.
• Caregivers stay in the room during the program.

• Room may be moderately busy (registration open to 12 children).
• Bright overhead lights.
• Animal noises
