The Southern Saratoga YMCA in Clifton Park is open and very happy to welcome back their valued members! Though protocols have changed for safety purposes, members are still able to work out, swim, walk the track, attend outdoor group exercise classes and participate in virtual Y work outs in the comfort of their homes. School age child-care is also available. Visit the YMCA website for schedules and to make reservations.
The dedicated YMCA management staff are all working hard to keep everyone safe and healthy when they visit. In fact, the Y is now closed daily from 1 – 2 pm to allow for a thorough mid-day facility cleaning.
Keep in mind as the YMCA is a non-profit membership driven organization, they need the support of generous community members now more than ever! We want to be sure our local YMCA continues to be a center for health and fitness for all Southern Saratoga County residents- young and old.
Through challenging times, the Y keeps on providing for community members. Their annual Basket Brigade, providing filled Thanksgiving baskets to local families in need will be happening this year. If you would like to safely donate to this program, there will be a drive through Food Drive at the Southern Saratoga YMCA- 1 Wall Street in Clifton Park on Thursday, 10/29 from 5 – 6:30 pm and on Saturday, 11/7 from 9 – 11 am. The following items are needed: cans/jars of gravy, canned fruits and vegetables, yams and cranberry sauce, box potatoes, stuffing, cake and brownie mix. Members of The Saratoga County Chamber’s Twin Bridges Council look forward to volunteering and donating to the Basket Brigade!
