The Bookmark Bunch: King & Kayla and the Case of the Missing Dog Treats

About this event

In March, we'll read the early chapter book, King & Kayla and the Case of the Missing Dog Treats by Dori Hillestad Butler. Then, we'll meet a real, live police dog K-9 Lepa with Officer Gaetano of the Saratoga Springs Police Department. Every child receives a bookmark and a book to take home and keep reading. What to Expect

• Participants are not expected to read the book beforehand.
• The librarian leads the group for the first 30 minutes in sampling the book, reading the first several chapters and looking over features like covers and pictures.
• Participants may choose to take turns reading or listen to others read.
• Participants meet a police dog for the last 30 minutes of the program.
• Caregivers stay in the room during the program.
