The Bookmark Bunch: Cashmere Goat

About this event

We'll read a few pages of the book together and learn about other folk tales written by Galdone. Then, stick around until 5:30 when we'll meet a real, live cashmere goat. Cody and Kateri Sargen of Aisling Farms in Greenfield Center will be on hand to introduce families to our goat visitor and answer any questions they may have. Please register online.

What to Expect 

• Participants are not expected to read the book beforehand.  
• The librarian will lead the group for the first 30 minutes in sampling the book, reading the first several chapters and looking over features like covers and pictures. 
• Participants may choose to take turns reading or listen to others read. 
• Participants will meet a wildlife educator and animal for the last 30 minutes of the program. 
• Caregivers will stay in the room during the program.  

 Sensory Information 

• Room may be moderately busy (Registration open to 12 children).
• Bright overhead lights.

• Noise cancelling headphones and fidgets are welcome. A limited number is available to use during the program or bring your own.
