Pi Day Pi K Fundraising Event

Everyone's favorite mathematical holiday is coming up, Pi Day! 

This year, you can celebrate by helping us raise money for student scholarships through Math Medic and help Shenendehowa’s Backpack Program all while getting some exercise at the same time! 

The Math Medic Foundation is hosting its second annual Pi Day Pi K!

Participants can run, walk, or bike 3.14 kilometers (about 1.95 miles) on March 14th from 10 am - 12pm at the track on campus or virtually. 

Here are all the details you'll need.

Cost: The cost to register for this event is $10π ($31.42) for adults and $5π ($15.71) for students, and, 100% of your registration fee and any additional donations will go toward students, teachers, and schools in need. AND, SHEN school receives 31.42% of all participation fees from our event as a donation back to our school’s Backpack Program!

Place: Shen track (gym if needed) or virtually.

Time: 10 am - 12pm

T-shirt and Medal: Each registrant will receive an event t-shirt and finisher medal in the mail. Sign up early to ensure an on-time delivery!

Race for FREE: Donate $75 or more during signup and your race registration is free! Fundraise $75 or more after signup, and your race fee gets refunded 100%. Use your unique referral code twice and you’ll get $10 refunded to you!

Deadline: Registration for our school’s event closes on February 27th, so be sure to register today!

This event is raising money for SHEN’s Backpack Program which will receive 31.42% of all proceeds from registrants who select our event. 100% of proceeds will go toward helping students and teachers with math resources, materials, or professional development.

The cost is $10π for adults and $5π for students if registered by February 15, 2026. The price increases to $12π for adults and $7π for students from 2/15/26 to 3/1/26.

○ Through donations, peer-to-peer fundraising, and referral codes, there are many ways for participants to have their registration fee discounted or fully refunded! All the details are spelled out during the registration process on RunSignUp.

This event is hosted by the Math Honor Society, and we will be organizing Pi themed activities for participants.
