About These Concerts

The Mostly Modern Festival is an international music festival celebrating bold, contemporary classical music. From June 4 to June 20, the festival showcases world premieres by composers from around the globe, alongside dynamic works from the 20th and 21st centuries.

All concerts take place at Skidmore College at the stunning Arthur Zankel Music Center (except the Caffe Lena Kickoff on June 4th).

The festival is ideally located in beautiful Saratoga Springs, NY, a world-renowned destination with an award-winning downtown. New York, Boston, Montreal and Philadelphia are all within a three-hour drive.

2026 Schedule:

• Thursday, June 4th: 7th Season Opener – Caffe Lena Kickoff – Sold Out for Three Years in a Row

• Friday, June 5th: Albany Pro Musica Choir and Maestro José Daniel Flores-Caraballo with Mostly Modern Orchestra

• Saturday, June 6th: Mostly Modern Orchestra brings brand new premieres with "hot off the press" pieces

• Sunday, June 7th: The FAB5- string quartet with famed percussionist Diego Alfonso coming all the way from Mexico City

• Thursday, June 11th: Mostly Modern Bass- Brand-new premieres alongside standard fare played by Grammy-winning musicians. 

• Friday, June 12: Mostly Modern Ensemble performs at 7:30 pm

• Saturday, June 13th: The Bell and Peter & the Wolf- A family/senior matinee

• Sunday, June 14th: Mostly Modern Orchestra: Harp Concerto- A family/seniors matinee

• Thursday, June 18th: Euclid String Quartet performs at 7:30 pm

• Saturday, June 20th: 7th Season Finale – Mostly Modern Orchestra “Cocktail Concerto”
