About this event
On Saturday, April 11, the Saratoga Farmers’ Market invites the community to celebrate cultivation, connection, and the joys of spring with a variety of special activities for all ages.
From 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, the Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners will be on-site to answer gardening questions and share their new seed library, featuring a wide selection of flower and vegetable seeds. They’ll also offer a family-friendly activity teaching about compost by making edible compost, from 10 am to 1 pm!
Children can decorate their own terra cotta pots for spring planting with the Friends of the Market.
From 9:30 to 10 a.m., Bella Osborn, a Master Gardener with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County, will lead a free workshop on nature journaling for garden management, so grab a coffee, a journal to sketch on, and a friend.
Market-goers can also enjoy a free screening of The Biggest Little Farm at Scene One Cinemas at 11 am.
