Get your reservations ready! The Capital Region’s dining scene just got a major upgrade with the official opening of The Grille by Jacob & Anthony's on Thursday, September 18, 2025. This new concept from Marrello Restaurants & Catering is bringing an elevated, yet relaxed, experience to 306 Clifton Park Center Road.

The restaurant, which occupies the fully renovated and expanded former Ninety-Nine Restaurant space, marks a highly anticipated return to the Clifton Park market for the Marrello family, a staple in Capital Region dining since 1959.

What’s on The Grille?

The menu is crafted to appeal to all appetites and occasions, blending American tradition with modern presentation. It's truly versatile, offering everything from a quick lunch to a refined dinner or a spectacular setting for your next special celebration. The Grille delivers:

• Signature Favorites: Look for the iconic J&A Burger, hand-cut steaks (including an incredible Dry Aged Bone-In Ribeye), and fresh seafood dishes like Georges Bank Scallops and Dijon Salmon.
• Starters & Small Plates: The menu features everything from raw bar options to classics like Jacob's Chowder, Pan Seared Ahi Tuna, and Fire Roasted Shrimp.
• Handhelds & Classics: Casual options like tacos and specialty burgers sit alongside hearty mains, including traditional Italian family recipes like Anthony’s Gravy (slow-roasted pork, meatballs, and Italian sausage).

New Pioneer Branch & USA Gas Convenience Store Coming to Clifton Park

A $4 million project will bring a combined Pioneer branch and USA Gas convenience store to the corner of Fire Road and Route 146 by early 2026. The development will feature a 5,000-square-foot gas station and store alongside a new 3,000-square-foot banking location.

The site, just off I-87 Exit 9, will include six gas pumps, fresh food and beverage options, and dedicated parking for both banking and fueling customers. Pioneer’s new branch will also introduce extended-hour Interactive Teller Machines and private offices for personal and business banking.

Local operator Erin Ozbay is leading the project through 4 Fire Road Clifton Park LLC, with Pioneer supporting construction through a $3.9 million building loan. The project reflects Pioneer’s strategy of co-locating services in convenient destinations.

Pioneer’s current branch at 843 Route 146 will remain open until the new location is complete. Once construction wraps, operations will transition seamlessly to the new site without interruption.
