Bring the kids to the Children’s Museum of Science and Technology in Troy this Friday for an Ugly Holiday Sweater greeting card activity. If you wear an ugly sweater to the event, you will receive a free pass for a future visit to the museum.
Ugly Sweater Karaoke Party at The Klam’r Tavern & Marina – Friday, December 21
Head over to The Klam’r Tavern & Marina in Halfmoon on Friday night and enjoy a festive Ugly Sweater Karaoke Party. Prizes will be awarded for the ugliest sweaters, and there will be great food, drinks, and company.
The McKrells Xmas Show at The Parting Glass – Thursday, December 20 – Sunday, December 23
In celebration of the holidays, The McKrells will perform at The Parting Glass in downtown Saratoga Springs all weekend long! Join them for some Irish tunes and holiday season favorites at 7:00pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. There is a $15 cover charge, and reservations are suggested.
Saratoga City Ballet Presents The Nutcracker – Friday, December 21 & Saturday, December 22
On Friday and Saturday, Saratoga City Ballet will present their 25th Anniversary production of The Nutcracker at The Egg in Albany. Directed and choreographed by Beth Fecteau, this ballet is the perfect holiday treat for all ages. The show times are 7:30pm on Friday and 2:00pm and 7:30pm on Saturday.
Comedy Christmas Spectacular – Saturday, December 22
Get your tickets to the Comedy Christmas Spectacular at Proctors featuring Schenectady’s own Dan Frigolette. The comedy show will take place on Saturday night at 7:30pm and again at 9:30pm.
Empire “Skate” Plaza in Albany – Happening Daily During Winter
The Empire “Skate” Plaza in downtown Albany is now open for the 2018-19 winter season! The ice rank is open daily from noon to 8:00pm (closed for maintenance from 3:30pm – 4:30pm), and rentals are available whenever the attraction is open. If you visit on Saturday, rentals are free.
Looking for more holiday fun? Drive by 780 Carlton Road in Clifton Park and check out the spectacular holiday lights display operated by Joe and Diane Miciotta. The attraction features a 26,000 LED light display and radio feed that connects holiday music to the lights. It’s a great way to get into the holiday spirit!
