Upstate New York’s largest one-day street festival is back! Head down to Lark Street in Albany to check out awesome bands and hundreds of vendors selling local art, amazing food, and more. The bands playing this year are The Relationship, Ought, Lower Dens, Delicate Steve, Televisionaries, and more!

Sunnyside Gardens in Saratoga is hosting the Giant Pumpkinfest! You won’t want to miss out on giant pumpkins, hayrides, music, cider doughnuts, and more. If you happen to be a farmer or home gardener with large pumpkins, enter the contest – everyone is welcome! Over $7,500 will be awarded in prizes for the largest pumpkins.

Take a drive up to Queensbury for the annual Balloon Festival! Capital Region residents look forward to this spectacular event every year. View tons of beautiful hot air balloons filling the sky as you check out a craft fair, kids activities, food vendors, and enjoy live music.
Cool Car Shows
27th Annual Hudson Mohawk Antique Truck Show
Saturday, September 24 to Sunday, September 25
Tickets are just $1 to this annual truck show, happening on the Saratoga County Fairgrounds right in Ballston Spa. There are typically over 300 trucks from 1990 and earlier, from original condition to restored. There is also an antique tractors, engines, and flea market.
8th Annual Dover Drag Strip Nostalgia Drags and Rod & Custom Show
Saturday, September 24 to Sunday, September 25
This car show is taking place in Lebanon, a little under an hour away from the Clifton Park area, but it just may be worth the drive! The Dover Drag Strip car show is considered to be one of the prime car shows in the entire northeast. Relive the glory days of drag racing with 350 nostalgic race cars in competition, in addition to hundreds of show cars. Tickets are $10 on Saturday, $15 on Sunday.
Great Book Sales
Friday, September 23 to Sunday, September 25
The Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library is holding a book sale throughout the weekend where you can grab some excellent deals! Hard cover books are $1.00; children’s books and trade paperback books are $0.50; single CDs and DVDs are $1.00; CD sets, DVD sets, and audio books are $2.00; and some special books might be priced a little bit higher. Sunday is bag day – get a bagful of books for just $1.00, or buy a Friends of the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library tote bag or children’s backpack for $10.00, and fill it for free!
Children’s Festival and Book Sale
Saturday, September 24 to Sunday, September 25
This book sale runs right alongside a children’s festival! The East Greenbush Community Library is holding a children’s festival on Saturday with bouncy-bounces, balloon animals, face painting, food, and raffle prizes. The book sale is both days, with children’s and childcare books ranging from $0.50 to $2.00.
