Shmaltz Brewing Company’s Reunion Fundraiser

The Shmaltz Brewing Company right in Clifton Park is hosting a fundraiser to coincide with their release of the Reunion 2016 brew, which was brewed in collaboration with Terrapin Beer Company from Georgia. Come and try out this complex dark ale as you help to raise funds for the Institute for Myeloma & Bone Cancer Research.
The Enchanted City III A Brave New World

This is the third year running for this huge steampunk festival, happening in Troy. Step into another world of fashion, fantasy, and science fiction with music, games, performances, food, a fashion show, historic tours, and street performers and peddlers. This a kid-friendly event, so bring the little ones for storytelling, dancing, puppets, magic acts, and more.

The biggest race to happen all season at the Saratoga Race Track is this Saturday! You definitely won’t want to miss the 147th running of the $1.25 million Travers, but buy your tickets quickly, attendance is capped at 50,000 and is selling out fast! Tickets can be purchased at the NYRA box office, by phone at 1.844.NYRA.TIX, or online at Ticketmaster.com.
Freedom Park Summer Concert Series: Black Mountain Symphony

As the summer runs down, so does Scotia’s free concert series in Freedom Park. This is the last chance to enjoy an amazing performance in the park at no cost! Black Mountain Symphony draws from a number of influences in their music, including classical violin, haunting folk-tinged ballads, folk-rock drums, and hard-hitting dance numbers.
Tri-City ValleyCats vs. Lowell Spinners: Sock Hop 50’s Night

As the ValleyCats face the Spinners our favorite minor league baseball team will take us back to the days where rock n’ roll emerged with Sock Hop 50’s Night. It’s also Sunday Funday with food and drink specials, the Sunday Summer Reading program where members of the team read to the kids prior to the game, and everyone can enjoy fireworks at the end of the evening.
