Maine residents have been enjoying lobster rolls at McDonald’s for years, and even New Englanders outside The Pine Tree State got a taste of the summer specialty last year. This summer, it’s finally the Capital Region’s turn to catch on to the lobster roll craze, as local McDonald’s restaurants are offering them for the first time ever!
McDonald’s lobster rolls are proudly made with 100% North Atlantic lobster, and are served cold with mayonnaise dressing and lettuce on a toasted roll. The seasonal favorite costs $8.99 at a majority of area establishments, and is only available until Labor Day.
“The launch of the Lobster Roll in the Greater New York Capital Region is exciting because it was such a hit with New England customers last summer,” said local McDonald’s owner/operator and president of the McDonald’s Operators of the Capital District, Renee Reardon, in a statement. “It is a delicious sandwich and we are thrilled to offer this regional favorite at such a great value.”
“We are very happy to have this on our menu and hope you enjoy,” Latham, Clifton Park, and North Greenbush McDonald’s owner Andrew James said at a first taste event, according to The Saratogian.
