You all think you’ve been living in Clifton Park, but the truth is, this is Clifton Bark! With doggy events taking place all month, we’re starting to think this town is really going to the dogs. From furry fundraisers to tail-wagging tales, we’ve got the rundown on this month’s furry festivities.
Clifton ‘Bark’ Fest
The first pooch party this month is the Pink Dog Parlor & Resort Clifton ‘Bark’ Fest on September 8th! This fundraiser will benefit local pet rescue groups, so register now – it’s free! The first 101 guests will receive a swag bag of goodies.
This event will feature a pet styling and home grooming workshop, ‘Fur in Couture’ runway competition, rescues on the red carpet, adoption clinics, food, prizes, shopping, and so much more!
To present your pooch in the “Fur in Couture Fashion Show” follow the contest guidelines and rules. Volunteers, exhibitors, and different levels of sponsors are also encouraged to participate in the furry festival! See Clifton ‘Bark’ Fest for more details.
Wagging Their Tails For Tales
The second doggy to-do this month is for the kids! The Clifton Park Halfmoon Public Library will be hosting a “reading to therapy dogs” event where children can gain confidence and practice their verbal skills in a non-judgmental space.
This event takes place September 20th, but there are limited spaces, so check often for more occurrences. With the unconditional love and calm attitude of a therapy dog, any child can learn to read aloud with poise and confidence.
The 6th Annual Great American Pet Festival
The next event is great not just for dogs, but for kiddies and kitties too! On Saturday, September 28, the premier pet event of the Capital District will take place at the Methodist Church Grounds – The Great American Pet Festival!
This furry friend event offers pet adoptions of dogs and cats, local pet-related businesses, pet resource experts and kids activities, including FREE pony rides! This is one for the whole family to enjoy!
Attend these events for a ‘fur’bulous month in Clifton Bark! Keep updated on doggy and human events at CliftonPark.com!
