With the butterfly house open through early April at miSci, the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library has barely been able to hang onto that museum pass before the next member checks it out.
That’s right, in addition to ebooks, mp3 downloads and a whole host of other modern offerings, the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library has museum passes available to a variety of museums in the area, and they just recently added another one to their list!
The library now offers a family pass to the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY) Museum of Firefighting in Hudson.
This additional museum brings the count up to nine museums that stretch from the Capital Region to Amherst, Mass. that are open to residents 18 or older who have a library card in good standing. The museums included are:
- FASNY Museum of Firefighting
- Hyde Collection
- MASSMoCA
- Hancock Shaker Village Museum
- Norman Rockwell Museum
- Children’s Museum of Saratoga
- Schenectady Museum miSci and Planetarium
- Eric Carle
Museum of Picture Book Art - National Museum of Racing and Hall of
Fame
In most cases, the library pass allows a family of four, two adults and two children, free entry into the museum. The passes are on lend for up to 3 days before they need to be returned for the next family to use.
Purchased for library use by the Friends of the Library, the passes, similar looking to credit cards, can be signed out at the “Ask A Librarian” desk on the main floor.
