Improv Level 2: TEAMS!
Learn the art of making your team look good: for on and offstage teams! T hursdays, March 2nd - April 6th, 7-9 PM. Class will culminate in a brief showcase performance on April 8th at 7 PM.
Great improvisers make their partners look good. To do that they make a thousand split second decisions in every show. When to give, when to take, when to enter, when to leave, and more! Get to know your team, as individuals and as a collective organism. Find your superpower as a team player.
This class can help you develop your team, whether it's an onstage performance improv troupe, or an offstage work-project team.
Pre-requisite: Knowledge of the basic tenets of improv. If you have not taken a 101 level improv class, we recommend attending one or more Monday Night Workout Nights before you take this class. Talk to the instructor about your qualifications: hey@mopco.org
FAQs
Q: Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
A: We ask all in-person students to be prepared to show proof of vaccination. The minimum age is 18.
Q: I’m feeling nervous about coming to my class. Should I still come?
A: Yes! Introverts and extroverts alike get nervous before their first class. The good news is that everyone in the class is here to grow and celebrate creativity. We work to create a trusting and safe environment for our students to explore improvisation. You don’t need any special skills to do improv, and we work to make that clear right at the top of class with games and exercises that show you how creative you already are. Your teacher won’t put you on the spot or make you do anything before you’re ready.
Q: How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
A: Contact us at hey@mopco.org for general inquiries. Or leave a message at (518) 577-6726
Q: What's the refund policy?
A: Cancellations for a full refund must be made 7 days or more prior to the first class. Less than 7 days: Your place in the class is non-refundable unless we can get someone to fill your spot.
Q: Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
A: Please make sure we know in advance if this is the case, so we know who to expect in class. It's also important that we have their email address.
