About this event
It’s 1860, and a sailor named Wheeler is searching for his missing mother with only a locket to guide him. But in "South: A Nautical Musical," the sea has other plans. This bold, original musical from composer Carmen Borgia sends Wheeler into the path of pirates, relic dealers, tangoing traitors, and an island of self-actualized lesbian cannibals. Directed and choreographed by Timothy Dakin-Dunn, the show features Latin-influenced melodies, live musicians, a cast of 11, theatrical spectacle, and a healthy dose of metaphysical madness!
"South: A Nautical Musical" runs July 24–August 3 at Bridge Street Theatre, 44 West Bridge Street, Catskill, NY. Tickets and details at bridgest.org/south.
