Take a snow day without leaving town at Saratoga Snow Day, a new winter celebration bringing seasonal fun to downtown Saratoga Springs. Debuting on Saturday, January 17, 2026, this free, all-ages event invites families, locals, and visitors to embrace winter with outdoor activities, cozy indoor experiences, and plenty of reasons to explore downtown.
From morning through evening, Saratoga Snow Day turns the heart of the city into a lively winter hub. Bundle up, stroll the walkable downtown district, and enjoy a mix of interactive activities, food and drink specials, and family-friendly programming designed to celebrate the season.
What to Expect:
Snowman Scavenger Hunt
Explore participating downtown shops in search of festive snowmen. Complete your scavenger hunt form as you go for a fun, self-guided activity that encourages families to shop local while enjoying a winter-themed challenge.
Fire & Ice Trail
Warm up along the Fire & Ice Trail, where participating restaurants and bars serve creative winter-inspired food and drink specials. Expect a mix of cozy comfort flavors and bold seasonal twists as you sample offerings across downtown.
Free Family Movie and Flannel Fun
Head to the Saratoga Springs City Center at 11 a.m. for a complimentary winter movie screening, with the film to be announced closer to the event. Families can also take part in a free flannel photo contest, adding an extra layer of winter spirit to the day.
Flannel Friday and Après Ski Parties
The celebration kicks off Friday, January 16, with Flannel Friday at Night Owl. The fun continues Saturday night with après ski–style parties featuring live DJs, relaxed winter vibes, and a welcoming community atmosphere.
Kids’ Winter Programming
Younger visitors can enjoy winter-themed educational programs at The Children’s Museum at Saratoga, offering hands-on activities that help kids learn about the snowy season in an engaging way.
Downtown Saratoga Springs restaurants and venues participating in the Fire & Ice Trail include Bailey’s Café, Cantina, Druthers Brewing Company, Hattie’s Restaurant, Henry Street Taproom, Kindred, Lucy’s Bar, Rhea, Scallions, The Bourbon Room, The Mercantile, Wheatfields Restaurant & Bar, The Thirsty Owl, and Wheatfields.
