The Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce was happy to take part in a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the newest Stewart’s Shop in Clifton Park on October 9th. Located between Exits 9 and 10 of the Northway, with the Residence Inn by Marriott directly behind, it’s a convenient stop for travelers on Route 9.
Lots of activity surrounded the store with a gathering of several members of Stewart’s management team, Stewart’s mascots and area elected officials. The Saratoga County Chamber had strong representation with staff members and Chamber Ambassadors in attendance. In his remarks, Saratoga County Chamber President Todd Shimkus said, “Because of community diligence in wearing face masks, we continue to minimize the spread of Covid 19 in the county. We continue to see investments in new business, like here at Stewart’s. Local contractors built the new store and employees are local. The Dake Family and their many partners continue to invest in the community. That’s why Saratoga County continues to do so well and be such a great place to live, work and play.”
To commemorate the opening, Stewart’s Shops officials made a $2000 donation to The Friends of Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library towards their virtual programming.
The festivities at the new Route 9 store will continue with the Stewart’s Great Pumpkin Contest. If you guess the the weight correctly, you could win a $100 Stewart’s My Money Card. You only have until October 16th to get your guess in!
