About this event
The 200th Anniversary of the completion of the Erie Canal is this year, but the Erie has a sibling canal which was also built at the same time: the Champlain Canal. The Champlain also just celebrated 200 years, and Brad Utter, Senior Historian and Curator from the New York State Museum, will explore why both canals were built, their differences, and the reasons the Champlain has always been in the Erie’s shadow.
