FLAG (front-line appreciation group) of Saratoga has relaunched its grassroots campaign to support local frontline workers at a time when hospitals and healthcare workers are again being strained by the pandemic. FLAG, in partnership with The Saratoga County Chamber & Saratoga Hospital, is currently raising money to continue to fuel our frontlines and support our local businesses. Many of our generous local businesses have also stepped up to show support of this worthy program by donating a variety of items-from hand crafted soaps and hand lotions to all kinds of treats such as freshly made cookies and candies, nuts, granola bars, bottled water and more! Those of us that call Saratoga County home are indeed fortunate to be surrounded by caring and generous community members.
A basket of goodies was recently dropped off at the Ellis Medicine Medical Center of Clifton Park. This included dozens of bundtinis from the Clifton Park Nothing Bundt Cakes. This delivery by Saratoga County Chamber President Todd Shimkus, was part of the relaunch of the FLAG effort. Thank you to all of the healthcare heroes working here in Clifton Park and across Saratoga County!
So many across the county have been involved in this volunteer effort- from students to major Saratoga County businesses such as Target Distribution Wilton and Ace Hardware Distribution Wilton, along with many wonderful local businesses.
