This weekend, there will be a variety of fun events where you can cure your need for excitement this season. From Saratoga Chowderfest to a Fire & Ice Bar, these are the events you should check out.
Hope you have an appetite, because Saratoga Chowderfest is happening this Saturday from 11:00am-4:00pm. Chowderfest is one of the most highly anticipated events of winter in the Capital Region, and this year’s edition will feature tasty chowder samples from over 80 participants.
This Friday from 12:00pm-2:00pm, visit the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library for their Soup’R Bowl Soup Tasting. Taste two soups that characterize the teams competing in this weekend’s Super Bowl and vote for your favorite.
Spend a day enjoying winter activities with the family at the 2020 Winter Festival and Artisan Market at Huyck Preserve in Rensselaerville. This free day of winter fun will offer everything from sledding to live rescue demonstrations, a guided hike in the woods, hot cocoa and food, and products from local vendors at the Artisan Market.
Warm up by the fire and enjoy a tasty cocktail at The Mill on Round Lake’s annual Ice Bar this weekend! Admission is free, and the frosty surroundings will include ice sculpture shuffleboards, corn hole, and more.
Don’t miss opening weekend of The Maple Avenue Musical Club’s production of “Matilda.” This magical, mischievous, and miraculous musical will be performed at the Maple Avenue Middle School’s Trombley Auditorium in Saratoga Springs. Tickets are $7 per person.
Enter a tiny world teeming with colorful insects, amazing acrobatic feats, and non-stop energy at Cirque du Soleil: OVO at the Times Union Center in Albany. The one-of-a-kind show will be performed daily from January 29 through February 2.
