Are you ready to have a happy holiday season? Get into the holiday spirit at the 2019 Schenectady Holiday Parade in downtown Schenectady. Now in its 51st year, the popular parade’s theme will be “Sugar Rush,” making it the sweetest parade around!
Enjoy a taste of the holidays at Albany’s Washington Park Lake House during this Saturday’s Craft Beer, Wine & Spirits Fest at Price Chopper/Market 32 Capital Holiday Lights in the Park. This special event is a great opportunity to try outstanding craft beverages and see the dazzling holiday lights displays early.
On the day after the Craft Beer, Wine & Spirits Fest, Albany PAL will host the annual Chili, Chowder, and Soup Fest at the Washington Park Lake House. Join them for samples of delicious food from many of your favorite local restaurants, and then stroll around the park to see the holiday lights.
Shop for Everyone on Your Holiday Gift List
For a truly special gift this holiday season, buy handmade products at the Hudson-Mohawk Weavers’ Guild 41st Annual Show & Sale. The event will be held at the Pruyn House in Latham, and all kinds of amazing handwoven items and holiday decor will be available for purchase.
During Friday’s Made in Round Lake Holiday Market, talented artists and artisans will be selling a variety of locally-made items that are perfect for gift giving. Celebrate the season and shop to your heart’s content from 4:00pm-8:00pm at the Round Lake Village Hall.
Take a trip to Hudson Valley Community College’s McDonough Sports Complex and discover seasonal and Christmas decor, gifts, handcrafted furniture, vintage finds, and more at the Country Folk Art Craft Show. The craft show will be open from Friday through Sunday, and general admission is good for all three days.
Hope 7 Community Center will present their annual Holiday Vendor & Craft Fair at the Franklin Terrace Ballroom in Troy. Explore over 70 crafters and vendors selling a wide range of unique gifts. There will also be raffles, a 50/50, bake sale, free admission, and free parking.
Mark your calendar! The spectacular Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will be rolling into the Capital Region this coming Tuesday. Come see the festive train in Mechanicville at 5:50pm or in Saratoga Springs at 7:20pm.
