Enjoy an evening of swimming and a movie at the Schenectady JCC in Niskayuna. Ferdinand is an animated film about a young bull who escapes a training camp after his father never returns from a showdown with a matador.

Summer fun is happening at the Southern Saratoga YMCA on Friday night. Come to check out bounce houses, a giant slip and slide, crafts, raffles, and more.

Saturday, August 18
The annual Jailhouse Rock 5K is taking place at the Brookside Museum in Ballston Spa. All proceeds from the race go towards the Saratoga County Historical Society, and there will be live music and awards after the race. The cost to participate is $25 through the 16th, and $30 after.
Rock N Rollin for Retired Racehorses
Friday, August 17
The second annual Rock N Rollin for Retired Racehorses is taking place at Nanola Restaurant in Malta. The cost is $50 in advance or $60 at the door and includes a buffet and a cash bar. Proceeds are going towards Old Friends at Cabin Creek, a home for retired racehorses in Greenfield Center.
Cars, Trucks, and Bikes – Oh My!

Saturday, August 18
All years and makes of cars, trucks, and motorcycles are welcome at this car show, happening at the Clifton Park Elks Lodge in Ballston Lake. Spectators are free, or it’s $10 to register your vehicle.
Friday, August 17
Mr . Bill’s in Ballston Spa is hosting a car show with summertime food (including ice cream!), a DJ, dash plaques, and more. It’s $15 to register your car or motorcycle.
Dairy Haus Car, Truck & Bike Show
Sunday, August 19
Head to the Dairy Haus in Saratoga Springs for a car show. There will be a DJ, door prizes, and free ice cream for drivers of the cars being entered! It’s $15 to register your vehicle.
