Winterfest at Hudson Crossing Park

A family-friendly Winterfest is happening Saturday and Sunday at Hudson Crossing Park in Schuylerville. Activities will include snowmobiling, sledding, “snow bowling,” and much more, including an opportunity to learn about ice harvesting. Free admission!
For the Beer Lovers

If you love IPAs this is the beer-themed event for you. Schmaltz Brewing right in Clifton Park is hosting their fourth annual IPA Fest on Friday. Tickets are $15 and get you six drink tokens, a commemorative 6-oz tasting glass, and 20% off beer to go. IPAs will be available from a variety of local breweries.
Attend a Murder Mystery

If you’re up for some mystery and intrigue this weekend you might want to check out a murder mystery happening at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. You’ll be transported to the roaring twenties era as a murder takes place among the museum’s historic collection. The event includes a cocktail hour, dinner, dessert, and a themed auction. Tickets are $150 or $125 for museum members.
Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoeing
Cross-Country Ski or Hike at Moreau Lake State Park

You can partake in an easy cross-country skiing adventure around Moreau Lake. A naturalist will be present to point out signs of wildlife along the way. If there’s not enough snow, the group will just go for a hike.
Snowshoe Adventure at the Pine Bush

Want to snowshoe but don’t own them? You can give this fun winter activity a try at the Albany Pine Bush this weekend, where they’ll be providing snowshoes to participants. As with the event at Moreau Lake State Park, if there is not enough snow, they’ll just be hiking. This is a 0.9-mile hike and the cost is $3 per person or $5 per family.

Eagle Survey at Moreau Lake State Park

Bring your binoculars along for this event! A park naturalist will be monitoring bald eagles at Moreau Lake State Park and they need your help to spot these majestic creatures.
Project Feeder Watch at Saratoga Spa State Park

For a more general observation of all birds, head to Saratoga Spa State Park on Saturday for a bird count. Data will be sent on to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. All ages are welcome and the event is $3 per person or $5 per family.

The Albany Sports Card Memorabilia Show is taking place at the Park Manor Hotel in Clifton Park. You can check out vintage and modern sports cards, collectible memorabilia, and much more. Admission is $3, with kids 12 and under free.

National Bottle Museum at the Library
