Light Up the Holidays at Price Chopper/Market 32 Capital Holiday Lights in the Park

The annual Price Chopper/Market 32 Capital Holiday Lights in the Park kicks off this weekend. On Friday night you can take a walk around the park for just $5 per person or $10 per family. See Mayor Kathy Sheehan, Santa, and other special guests as they throw the switch to officially light up the holidays.
Breakfast with Santa at Clifton Park Center Mall
Saturday, November 18
You and your child can have breakfast with Santa at the Clifton Park Center Mall – for free! There will also be music and games from 99.5 The River. Seating is limited and you must register beforehand.

You won’t want to miss out on the Capital Region’s first Grilled Cheese Festival, happening at the Takk House in Troy. Admission is $40 and gets you 10 grilled cheese samples along with a beverage and souvenir glass. Slidin’ Dirty, The Cheese Traveler, Muddaddy Flats, and more local restaurants are participating.

You can check out over 100 vendor tables of trains and train related items at the Albany Train Show, happening at the Polish Community Center. Experts will also be on hand to offer free appraisals of your hidden attic treasures, or to help you learn how to bring your ailing trains back to life. Tickets are $5, with kids 12 and under free.

The Clifton Park Elks are once again hosting the Youth Hoop Shoot Contest, a free basketball shooting contest for kids ages 8 through 13. This event is happening at the Southern Saratoga YMCA right in Clifton Park. The boy and girl in each age group with the best scores will advance through four tiers of competition to qualify for the national finals in Chicago.
Nerf Capture the Flag for TeensĀ

Teenagers in grades 9 through 12 are welcome to head to the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library for an exciting game of Nerf Capture the Flag. Bring your Nerf blasters and ammo, and they’ll supply the pizza and snacks.
