Friday, August 5 to Saturday, August 6
The 9th annual Ballston Spa International Short Film Festival is presenting 38 short films this weekend, ranging in length from 1 to 15 minutes each. Come and check out these movies made by emerging filmmakers across the country. This event is taking place in downtown Ballston Spa in the Old Iron Spring Park on Front Street, and in the Ballston Spa High School Auditorium.
Saturday, August 6
Bring the kids to this popular event featuring trucks of all shapes and sizes for children to tour. Held in the Maple Avenue Middle School parking lot in Saratoga, the event serves as a fundraiser for The Children’s Museum at Saratoga. Visit the museum’s website at cmssny.org to order your tickets ahead of time – only $5 per child, and $1 per adult.
Saturday, August 6
The Whitney, one of North America’s premier races for older horses, is considered to be a blockbuster day at the Saratoga Race Course. Don’t miss out on one of the most popular events at the track this season. Prior winners have included major names like Discovery, War Admiral, and the great Kelso.

This annual event that happens in Ballston Spa offers families a unique opportunity to take a nighttime swim in the Village Municipal Swimming Pool. You and your kids will get a chance to swim under the stars while enjoying live music, and food will also be provided.
Sunday, August 7
Storm Front comes closer than any other band to replicating the amazing music of Billy Joel. Check out this tribute band at the free Performing Arts at the Common concert series at the Clifton Common Stage. Get ready for “Movin’ Out,” “My Life,” “It’s Still Rock n Roll to Me,” and of course, “Piano Man.”
