The future of Eagle Crest Golf Club may not involve hitting the links on a warm afternoon. Get the details:
William Paulsen, owner of the golf club in Clifton Park, has asked the town for permission to build up to 170 homes on the 18-hole course. He cites a decline in business as the reasoning behind his proposal. The plan submitted to the Town Board includes 90 carriage-style lots, along with 80 traditional home lots.
The 206-acre golf course is located in the town of Clifton Park, but in the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District rather than Shenendehowa. Phil Barrett, the Town Supervisor, told the Albany Business Review that there will be a tremendous amount of interest in the proposed plan by Clifton Park residents.
