Sad to say, but the holiday season is coming to an end. Out with the old, in with the new … literally!
For those of you thinking about taking the tree down this week, the town of Clifton Park is offering its residents free curb-side Christmas tree pick up.
County Waste will pick up un-bagged, non-artificial Christmas trees placed at the curb (along the edge of your property) between Monday, January 7 and Friday, January 11, 2013.
To ensure your tree gets picked up please put your tree out on January 7.
Trees will be mulched and therefore must not have any lights or decorations left on. Residents are asked to keep trees in an accessible, snow-free location. Trees should be placed on the opposite side of the driveway from the trash cans.
Clifton Park residents can also bring artificial, un-decorated Christmas trees to the town’s Transfer Station on Vischer Ferry Road. A permit is not required and there will be no fee.
For more information residents can call County Waste at 877-7007.
