About this event
Challenge your brain with classic improv games! 6 classes, Wednesdays, 7-9 PM, March 1- April 5. There will be a showcase on April 7 at 7 PM.
Learn the ins and outs of popular improv games seen on stage and screen. Short form games are more than just fun entertainment - each game builds important skills for the improviser! Enhance your strengths with the muscle-building punch of short form game rules! After you improve your space work (pantomime), gibberish, storytelling, and endowment/justification skills, you'll demonstrate your know-how in the class showcase at The Mopco!
Prerequisite: Basic improv training: 101 class or equivalent (if in doubt, contact us at hey@mopco.org)
Instructor: Jason Burke
Jason started his improv career in 1995 as part of the mainstage cast at ComedySportz San Jose, performing in their home theater and at events such as the SoFA Street Fair and the 1997 NHL All Star Fan Experience. In 2013, he was a founding member of ComedySportz Boston, bringing fast-paced, competitive improv to an entirely new audience. He has also taught numerous applied improvisation and team building workshops at colleges, high schools, and major corporations including Intel, AMD, and Hewlett Packard. He’s excited to be a part of MopCo, and to bring his comedic voice to New York’s capital region.
