Mac 'n Cheese is a favorite food of all ages! Come to the Albany Marriott in Colonie and taste 30 different varieties of the dish, prepared by local restaurants. Then, vote for your favorites!

The third annual Mac-n-Cheese Bowl is scheduled for Saturday, February 18, 2012 with proceeds benefiting the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York.

This is a kid-friendly event! Children can even vote for their favorites too.

This year, to accommodate the event’s expected continued growth in popularity, there will be two sessions, starting at both  11 am and at 12:30 pm.  Admission will be limited to 1,200 people per session.

Tickets will be $15 for adults, $5 for kids age 5 to 12 and free for younger than 5. Tickets will go on sale at area Price Chopper stores in January.

The cheese for this event has been generously donated by the 1,200 farm families who own the Cabot Creamery Cooperative.

There will also be a home-made competition - Steve Barnes of the Times Union will accept recipes from individual home chefs prior to the event, and a panel of judges will narrow the submissions down to 10.
