Saratoga Race Course - The Racetrack

The racecourse in Saratoga sees big names both in the grandstands and coming out of the starting gate. Don't be intimidated - you can be a part of all the excitement in a place where beginner's luck is just as important as seasoned advice. The 40-day 2011 Saratoga meet begins Friday July 22 and concludes Monday, September 5. Hours Gates open weekdays at 11 a.m. and weekends at 10:30 a.m. Post-time is 1:00 p.m. every day except Travers Day, when gates open at 7:00 a.m. and the first post-time is at 12:00 p.m. Two Fridays during the meet there is "Sunset Racing" where the first post time is at 2:30 p.m. Admission Admission tickets are sold at the gate upon entry into the track.

• General Admission: $3 (Children 12 and under are free with adult)
• Clubhouse Admission: $5
• Travers Day Admission: $5 Grandstand, $10 Clubhouse

Reserved Seating Reserved seats can be purchased at the Union Aveenue gate office at 9am (7am on Travers Day) for that day's races. Limited to 4 reserved seats per person.

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: $7 Grandstand | $11 Clubhouse
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday: $9 Grandstand | $16 Clubhouse
• Travers Day: $19 Grandstand | $26 Clubhouse

Picnic Area seating at the Race Course cannot be reserved. There is a tradition in Saratoga, however, to throw a tablecloth over a picnic table to "claim" it. People are usually respectful of this rule. Even so, these go fast, so make sure you get to the track very early in order to claim a table.
